Özet
In this study, the performance properties of cotton/cashmere elastane and cotton/soybean elastane denim woven fabrics were investigated and compared to those of 100% cotton elastane denim fabrics. Denim fabrics produced using these fibers are designed to appeal to a wider time range in terms of the climate. The breaking strength using the ASTM D-5034 method, tear resistance according to the ASTM D-1424 standard, elasticity according to EN 14,704-19.1 Method A, growth ASTM3107 method, rubbing fastness AATCC 8 standard, and skew movement of denim fabrics Levi Strauss &Co Method 2 were investigated. The results showed that the twill direction affected the growth and weft shrinkage of denim fabrics. The rinse-washed fabrics showed higher breaking strength, and tear resistance values, and the bleach-washed fabrics showed the highest dry and wet rubbing fastness values. The performance properties of the soybean fiber containing fabrics were better than those of cashmere and 100% cotton elastane fabrics. In addition, denim fabrics can be used in colder climatic conditions using cashmere and soybean in weft yarn, which will contribute to the sustainability of denim fabrics.
