Osmanlı medreseleri ile Avrupa üniversitelerinin işleyişleri bakımından mukayesesi: 1450-1600

Abstract

Tez çalışması, Osmanlı Devleti'nin eğitim kurumlarından biri olan medreseler ve Avrupa üniversiteleri ile ilgilidir. Osmanlı Devleti'nin özellikle siyasî ve askerî tarihi hakkında meydana gelmiş yoğun ilginin bir benzeri Osmanlı Devleti'nin eğitim tarihi için henüz oluşmamıştır. Belki de en çok ilginin bu alan üzerinde yoğunlaşmasını beklemek doğru olacaktır. Zira Osmanlı Devleti'nin insan yetiştirmedeki beceri ve deneyimlerini irdelemeyi, bu hususları o devrin gerçekleri ve gelişmeleri içinde anlayıp sonraki kuşaklara aktarabilmeyi bilim dünyasının önceliklerinden görmek gerekir. Tezin cevap bulmayı hedeflediği temel soru, Osmanlı medreseleri ile Avrupa üniversitelerinin nasıl gelişim gösterdiği ve çevresel gelişmelere nasıl tepki gösterdiğidir. Söz konusu soruların cevapları kurumsallaşmaya başlayan medrese ve üniversitelerin hangi amiller ve etkiler karşısında şekillendiği ve bunun nasıl oluştuğu, dolayısıyla medreselerin nasıl kurulduğu ve işlediği, şekillendiği, çağdaşı olan Avrupa üniversiteleri ile kıyaslanarak cevaplandırılmaya çalışılmıştır.

The thesis is related to one of the educational institutions, madrasas, of the Ottoman State and European universities. Intense interest on the history of education for the Ottoman State does not yet exist that have occured especially in the Ottoman State's political and military history. Whereas, perhaps, waiting of concentrated interest in this area would be correct to expect on this subject. Inasmuch as, topics on history of Ottoman's educational institutions may see the priorities of the scientific world because of the Ottoman State. Raising the skills and experiences to examine the human, in this age to understand the facts and developments in the next generation may see the transfer of the priorities of the scientific world. The thesis also aims to find answers to fundamental questions, which show how the development of European universities is that the Ottoman madrasas were compared and how that response to cyclical situation.
