Yusuf Atılgan'ın Aylak Adam adlı romanında dil birimlerinin soyuttan somuta geçişi

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasında soyut: genel, belirsiz, tanımsız anlamlarında; somut: özel, tanımlı, belirli anlamlarında kullanılmıştır. Dil birimleri, anlatıda görev alırken soyuttan somuta geçme eğilimindedir. Bu durumun vericinin tercihine göre değişen birçok nedeni vardır. Somutlaşma sürecinin incelenmesi, bu nedenleri gün yüzüne çıkarmaktadır. Yusuf Atılgan'ın Aylak Adam adlı romanı, tanımlılık/belirlilik özelliklerine göre incelendiğinde birçok dil biriminin soyuttan somuta geçiş yaptığı görülür. Tek başlarına seslerin ve eklerin dahi somutlaştığı, daha belirli/tanımlı bir hâl aldığı söylenebilir. Buna rağmen sürecin en fazla görüldüğü dil birimleri sözcüklerdir. Ad, zamir, sıfat ve zarf görevindeki sözcük ve sözcük öbekleri, anlatının ilk cümlesinden son cümlesine kadar somutlaşmaya devam etmektedir. Her ses, ek ya da sözcüğün somutlaşma aşaması incelenemeyeceği için bu tezde, bir anlatının temel unsurlarından kişi, zaman ve mekân kavramlarının somutlaşma süreçleri incelenmektedir. Böylece yeri geldiğinde sesten sözcük öbeklerine kadar her tür dil birimi değerlendirilebilmiştir. Dil, görünen yüzünden çok görünmeyen yanıyla araştırmacıları büyüler. Görünmeyen yanın sadece bir bölümü, dil birimlerinin birbirleri arasındaki görevsel ve anlamsal bağdır. Somutlaşma sürecinin incelenmesi, sesten cümleüstü birimlere kadar uzanan bu bağın örneklerle yüzey yapıya çıkarılmasını sağlamıştır. Aynı zamanda sağlıklı bir iletişimin sağlanmasında somutlaşma sürecinin kilit rol oynayabildiği, örnekler üzerinden açıklanmıştır.

In this thesis abstract has been used in: general, ambiguous, undefined meanings; while concrete has been used in: specific, defined, certain meanings. Language units tend to pass on from abstract to concrete while assigned in narration. This condition has many changing reasons according to the choice of the receiver. The review of embodiment process unearths these reasons. When Yusuf Atılgan's novel The Loiterer is review based on its defineteness/certainty characteristics, it is seen that many language units transmit from abstract to concrete. It can be stated that even the sounds and suffixes get concrete and come to a more definite/certain state. Nevertheless, words are the units where the process is observed the most. Words and phrases in name, pronoun, adjective, and adverb positions proceed to get concrete from the first sentence until the last sentence of the narration. As the review of each sound, suffix and word's stage of embodiment cannot be scrutinized, the stages of embodiment of character, time and place concepts which are among the main components of narration are reviewed in this thesis. Thus, if need be, all kinds of language units from the sound to phrases could be evaluated. Language fascinates the researchers with more its invisible side rather than the visible side. Only a part of the visible side is the functional and semantic bond among language units. The examination of embodiment process procured, from sounds to sentences above, this bond's revelation to the surface with samples. Meanwhile, the fact that embodiment process plays a key role in healthy communication has been explained through examples.
