Abstract

Simple expressions are presented for the worst and best case Cramer-Rao bounds for the amplitude and phase estimation of two cisoids in the presence of complex while Gaussian noise. The expressions are valid in the sub-Rayleigh region where the difference between the critical values of the bounds becomes important.
