The purpose of the present study was to investigate the opinions of teachers regarding homework assignments given in science and technology courses. In the study mixed research design was used and data from 55 participants were gathered by a "teacher homework scale" and an open-ended questionnaire. In quantitative data analysis Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H tests were used while in qualitative data analysis content analysis was used. The results showed that there was not any significant difference in teachers' scores on function, attitude and behaviour subscales of the scale regarding demographic information. Meanwhile, content analysis indicated that teachers perceive homework assignments as important for science and technology courses and they think that homework assignments should be given considering students resources (e.g. computer, internet, library, place of residence, and attitude of the family).
