Fatma Pekşen’in hikâyelerinde yapı ve tema

Abstract

2000 sonrası Türk hikâyeciliğinde modern teknikleri kullanarak geleneksel hikâye anlayışını devam ettiren yazarlardan biri de Fatma Pekşen’dir. Pekşen de Refik Halid, Sabahattin Ali, Sait Faik çizgisini takip eden yazarlardan biridir. 1980’lerden itibaren çeşitli dergi ve gazetelerde hikâyeler yazan yazar, edebiyat hayatına 2002 yılında yayımladığı İpek Hayaller adlı hikâye kitabıyla girer. Yazar, 2014 yılında ise Güldönümü hikâye kitabıyla ESKADER yılın hikâyecisi ödülünü alır. Hikâye, roman, folklor-araştırma türlerinde eserler vermiştir. Anadolu’nun içinde yetişmiş olan yazar, hikâyelerinde daha çok Anadolu ve Anadolu insanını, memurları, işçileri, çocukları ve kadınları konu edinmiştir. Fatma Pekşen, hikâyelerinde türkülerden manilere, destanlardan halk hikâyelerine, atasözlerinden yerel deyişlere pek çok halk kültürü unsurundan yararlanır. Hikâyelerini duru bir anlatımla gerçekçi bir şekilde kaleme alır. “Fatma Pekşen’in Hikâyelerinde Yapı ve Tema” başlığını taşıyan bu tezde yazarın sekiz hikâye kitabı metin merkezli olarak ele alınıp tahlil edilmiştir. Çalışma dört ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde yazarın biyografisi, edebiyat çalışmaları ve eserleri anlatılmıştır. İkinci bölümde yazarın hikâyeleri yapı bakımından incelenmiştir. Yapı incelemesi olay örgüsü, anlatıcı ve bakış açısı, mekân, zaman ve kahramanlar başlıkları altında yapılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde hikâyeler tematik açıdan incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde Fatma Pekşen’le yapılan mülakata yer verilmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde çalışmanın bulgularına yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı hikâyeleri hakkında kapsamlı bir çalışma bulunmayan Fatma Pekşen’in hikâyelerini Türk edebiyatına kazandırmak, Pekşen’i akademi dünyasına tanıtmak ve kapsamlı bir bilgi edilmesini sağlamaktır.

One of the authors who continues the traditional storytelling approach while using modern techniques in Turkish literature post-2000 is Fatma Pekşen. Pekşen follows in the footsteps of authors like Refik Halid, Sabahattin Ali, and Sait Faik. Writing stories in various magazines and newspapers since the 1980s, she entered the literary world with her short story collection "İpek Hayaller" published in 2002. In 2014, she received the ESKADER Storyteller of the Year award for her short story collection "Güldönümü." She has produced works in the genres of short stories, novels, and folklore research. Having grown up in Anatolia, her stories predominantly focus on Anatolia and its people, including civil servants, workers, children, and women. In her stories, Fatma Pekşen draws on numerous elements of folk culture, including folk songs, rhymes, epics, folk tales, proverbs, and local expressions. She writes her stories with a clear and realistic narrative style. In this thesis titled "Structure and Theme in Fatma Pekşen's Stories" the author's eight short story books are analyzed text-centrically. The study consists of four main sections. The first section covers the author's biography, literary studies, and works. The second section examines the structure of the author's stories, focusing on plot, narrator and point of view, setting, time, and characters. The third section analyzes the stories thematically. The fourth section includes an interview with Fatma Pekşen. The conclusion section presents the findings of the study. The aim of this study is to introduce Fatma Pekşen's stories to Turkish literature, provide a comprehensive analysis of her works, introduce Pekşen to the academic world, and ensure comprehensive information is obtained, as there is currently no extensive study on her stories.
