İleriye dönük bellek performansı ve frontal bölge test puanlarının yaş ve cinsiyete göre değişimi

Abstract

Mevcut çalışmanın amacı, ileriye dönük bellek performansının ve frontal bölge test puanlarının yaş ve cinsiyete göre değişimini incelemektir. Çalışmanın bir diğer amacı ise, frontal bölge test puanları ile ileriye dönük bellek görev puanları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Bu amaçlar doğrultusunda, üç farklı yaş grubu (20-44, 45-59, 60 ve üstü) ve iki cinsiyet düzeyinde (kadın, erkek) olmak üzere toplam 180 katılımcıya; klinik tanı ölçekleri, nöropsikolojik testler (Stroop, Wisconsin Kart Eşleme Testi, İz Sürme Testi, Kontrollü Kelime Çağrışım Testi) ve ileriye dönük bellek görevleri (zaman temelli – olay temelli) uygulanmıştır. Eğitim düzeyi, olası karıştırıcı etkisini önlemek amacıyla (9-11 ve 12 ve üstü) tüm gruplarda dengelenmiştir. Veriler, 3x2 faktörlü deney desenine uygun olarak analiz edilmiş; her bir test ve testi oluşturan alt test puanlarına iki yönlü varyans analizi (two way analysis of variance) uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, ileriye dönük bellek görev puanları ve frontal bölge test puanları üzerinde yaşın temel etkisi anlamlı bulunmuştur. Cinsiyetin temel etkisi, yalnızca Stroop Testi ve İz Sürme Testinden elde edilen puanlar üzerinde anlamlı bulunmuştur. Yaş ve cinsiyetin ortak etkisi, İz Sürme Testinden elde edilen puanlar üzerinde anlamlı bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, ileriye dönük bellek görev puanları ile frontal bölge test puanları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu gözlenmiştir

The a im of the present study is to examine, age and gender effect on prospective memory performance and the frontal region test scores. Another aim of the study is to examine, the relationship between frontal region test and prospective memory task scores. For this purpose, clinical diagnostic scales, neuropsychological tests (Stroop Test, Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, Trail Making Test, Controlled Oral Word Association Test) and prospective memory tasks (time based-event based) were applied to a total of 180 voluntary participants. Participants were from two levels of sex (male, female) and three levels of age (20- 44, 45-59, 60 and above). The level of education was balanced in all groups (9-11 and 12 and above) to prevent possible confounding effect. A 3X2 two-way analysis of variance was applied to the scores that were obtained from the each test and subtests. The results show a significant effect of age on prospective memory task and frontal region test scores. There is also a significant effect of gender, only on the scores were obtained from the Stroop Test and the Trail Making Test. İn addition, there is a significant interaction effect of age and gender only on Trail Making Test scores. The results also demostrated that, there is a significant relationship between prospective memory task and frontal region test scores
