Özet
Four-wave mixing (FWM) and stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) are important nonlinear phenomena affecting the performance of optical fiber communication systems. In this paper, system performance of long-haul dense/ultra-dense wavelength division multiplexing optical fiber communication networks with standard single mode fibers (SSMFs) have been analyzed. SXR variations due to the single FWM impact and combined impact of FWM and SRS have been compared in these analyses. Simulations have been made considering central channels of 7-, 15-, 31-, 63-channel communication systems. Channel spacings in simulations are considered as 3.125, 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100 GHz. Since simulations have been carried out considering central channels where the most severe single and combined impacts are observed, simulation results display the worst-case values and thus they are important for reliable system designs satisfying the minimum 23 dB SXR performance criterion under the single FWM impact and the combined impact of FWM and SRS.
