Bu çalışmada, Bursa ilindeki tarım makinaları üretimi yapan firmaların Ar-Ge faaliyetleri ve iş sağlığı güvenliği uygulamaları incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında, Bursa’da bulunan 21 tarım makinaları işletmesine yönelik bir anket yapılmış ve bu anket sonuçları ışığında, yerel üreticilerin Ar-Ge faaliyetleri ve iş sağlığı güvenliği konularındaki durumu oransal olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Katılımcı işletmelerin Ar-Ge faaliyetlerine ilişkin genel durumu, Ar-Ge destekleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olma durumları, çalışanların Ar-Ge eğitim seviyeleri, Ar-Ge faaliyetinde bulunan tarım makinaları işletmelerin marka tescil ve patent durumları ile iş sağlığı ve güvenliği açısından yeterlilik düzeyleri analiz edilmiştir. Anket bulgularına göre, işletmelerin %42,86’sında hafif yaralanmalarla sonuçlanan kaza vakaları yaşandığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, işletmelerin hiçbirinde ölümlü iş kazası meydana gelmediği, kazaların tamamının çalışanların dikkatsizliği veya iş sağlığı ve güvenliği önlemlerinin eksik olmasından kaynaklandığı belirlenmiştir. Katılımcı işletmelerin, kişisel koruyucu ekipman olarak en çok gözlük, eldiven ve iş elbisesi kullandıkları belirtilmiştir. İşletmelerin %57’sinde Ar-Ge departmanı bulunurken, çalışanların %47,4’ünün ise Ar-Ge eğitimi aldığı belirlenmiştir.
In this study, R&D activities and occupational health and safety practices of agricultural machinery manufacturing companies in Bursa province are examined. Within the scope of the study, a survey was conducted for 21 agricultural machinery enterprises in Bursa and in the light of the results of this survey, the situation of local producers in terms of R&D activities and occupational health and safety was evaluated proportionally. The general situation of the participating enterprises regarding R&D activities, their knowledge about R&D supports, R&D training levels of employees, brand registration and patent status of agricultural machinery enterprises engaged in R&D activities, and their competence levels in terms of occupational health and safety were analyzed. According to the survey findings, it was determined that 42,86% of the enterprises experienced accidents resulting in minor injuries. In addition, it was determined that no fatal work accidents occurred in any of the enterprises, and that all of the accidents were caused by the carelessness of the employees or the lack of occupational health and safety measures. It was stated that the participating enterprises mostly use goggles, gloves and work clothes as personal protective equipment. While 57% of the enterprises have an R&D department, 47,4% of the employees have received R&D training.
