Esîrî Mehmed Yusuf ve Şerh-i Muhammediye (inceleme-metin)

Abstract

Hem sözlü hem yazılı kültürü en iyi yansıtan eserlerden biri de Yazıcıoğlu Mehmed’in 853/1449 yılında kaleme aldığı Muhammediye’dir. Muhammediye, dil yönünden sâde Türkçe ile yazılan bir eser olma hüviyetini taşımaktadır. Osmanlı kültür ve coğrafyasında Muhammediye müstesna bir yere sahiptir. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun ulaştığı her coğrafyaya Muhammediye de ulaşmış, asırlarca insanların zihninde, kalbinde ve dilinde gerekli ihtimam gösterilerek muhafaza edilmiştir. Toplum nezdinde Muhammediye, Süleyman Çelebi’nin Vesîletü’n-Necât’ıyla birlikte en fazla rağbet gören eser olmuştur. Klasik Türk edebiyatının en ihtişamlı dönemi olan XVI. yüzyıl aynı zamanda Arapça ve Farsça’dan tercüme ve şerhlerin en yoğun yapıldığı dönemdir. Her ne kadar XVI. yüzyıl’da Türkçe gerçek anlamda ilmî ve edebî dil hâline gelse de tercüme ve şerh faaliyetleri artarak devam etmiştir. İşte Esîrî Mehmed Yusuf Efendi Türk edebiyatının ilk manzûm siyer olma özelliği taşıyan, aynı zamanda edebiyatımızın kurucu metinlerinden olan Muhammediye’yi yazılışından takribi yüz yıl sonra 948/1541-42 yılında şerh etme ihtiyacı duymuş ve Hz. Peygamber (s.a.v)’in daha iyi anlaşılması için halkın anlayacağı tarzda eserini kaleme almıştır. Esîrî’de Hz. Peygamber sevgisi bu şekilde tezâhür etmiştir. Çünkü şâirler Hz. Peygamber (s.a.v)’i anlatan bir eser yazarak İslâm’a hizmet etmek bilinciyle hareket ederler. Bu çalışmada XVI. yüzyılın önemli şâir ve şârihlerinden Esîrî Mehmed Yusuf Efendi’nin hayâtı, eserleri, edebî şahsiyetinin yanında Şerh-i Muhammediye isimli eseri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.

One of the works that best reflects both oral and written culture is Yazıcıoğlu Mehmed's Muhammadiya, written in 853/1449. In terms of language, Muhammadiya is a work written in plain Turkish. Muhammadiya has an exceptional place in Ottoman culture and geography. Muhammadiye reached every geography that the Ottoman Empire reached and was preserved in the minds, hearts and tongues of people for centuries with due care. In the eyes of the society, Muhammadiya has been the most popular work along with Süleyman Çelebi’s Vesîletü’n-Necât. The XVI'th century, the most glorious period of classical Turkish literature, was also the period of the most intense translations and commentaries from Arabic and Persian. Although Turkish became a truly scholarly and literary language in the XVI'th century, translation and commentary activities continued to increase. Thus, Esîrî Mehmed Yusuf Efendi felt the need to annotate Muhammadiya, which is the first verse siyar in Turkish literature and one of the founding texts of our literature, in 948/1541-42, approximately one hundred years after its writing, and wrote his work in a style that the public could understand in order to better understand the Prophet (pbuh). This is how Esîrî’s love for the Prophet manifested itself. Because poets act with the consciousness of serving Islam by writing a work describing the Prophet (pbuh). In this study, the life, works and literary personality of Esîrî Mehmed Yusuf Efendi, one of the important poets and commentators of the XVI’th century, as well as his work named Sharh-i Muhammadiya are tri1ed to be revealed.
