This study analyzes India's position in South China Sea policies. The policies followed by New Delhi are examined within the framework of the question of which actors defend which theses in the conflicts in the region. As a rising actor that creates significant impact in its own geography, India also plays a policy- determining role in the South China Sea issues with the relations it has developed with various countries. On this basis, India's steps are especially important for the strategic interests of China, with which it is in competition. The South China Sea (SCS) dispute has become an issue in which other actors in the region have been involved in recent years. Territorial conflicts and disputes over maritime jurisdictions are increasing tensions among Vietnam, the Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia and Brunei, and China. The aforementioned countries claim that China is trying to increase its sovereign territory and Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ) through various activities.
