Neoliberalizmin yükselişi karşısında otoritenin politik psikanalizi: Freudyen bir yaklaşım

Abstract

Kavram olarak otorite; sosyolojiden felsefeye, politik bilimden psikolojiye, hukuktan eğitime kadar birçok disiplin tarafından inceleme konusu edilmekte ve bu disiplinler tarafından farklı şekillerde analiz edilmektedir. Biz de çalışmamızın kapsam ve sınırlılıkları dahilinde, çalışmamızın teorik temelini oluşturan Sigmund Freud’un psikanalitik kuramı üzerinden neoliberalizmin yükselişiyle birlikte otoritenin ne şekilde işlediğini açıklamaya çalışacağız. Bu çalışmanın temelini, Freud’un psikanalitik kuramının otoritenin işleme biçimine dair açıklayıcı kuramsal zenginlik barındırdığı savı oluşturmuştur. Çalışma, neoliberalizmin yükselişiyle birlikte birey ve toplum ruhsallığında otoritenin ne şekilde işlediğine ilişkin ortaya çıkan temel araştırma sorusu etrafında şekillendirilmiştir. Bu araştırmayı yapmak için, çalışma politik psikanalizi bir yöntem olarak kullanmaya çaba göstermiş, teorik temelini Freud’un psikanalitik kuramına ve bu çerçevedeki analizlerine dayandırmıştır. Bu teorik arka plana dayanan çalışma, neoliberalizmin birey ve toplumlara pazarladığı “özgürlük” ve bu özgürlüğün sağlanması adına birey ve toplumdan taleplerinin hem birey hem de toplum ruhsallığında daha fazla tabiiyete yol açtığı sonucuna ulaşmıştır. Buradan hareketle, biz de neoliberal özgürlüğün bir yanılsamadan ibaret olup kendi kendini sömürüye ve bu şekilde de birey ve toplum ruhsallığında ciddi boyutlara varan tahribatlara yol açtığını düşünüyoruz.

As a concept, authority, is the subject of study by many disciplines from sociology to philosophy, from political science to psychology, from law to education, and it is analyzed in various means by these disciplines. Within the scope and limitations of our study, we will try to explain how authority functions with the rise of neoliberalism through Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, which forms the theoretical basis of our study. This study is based on the argument that Freud’s psychoanalytic theory contains a wealth of explicatory theoretical insights about the way that the authority functions. The work is shaped around the central research question that how authority operates in the psyche of the individual and society with the rise of neoliberalism. In order to conduct this research, the study uses political psychoanalysis as a methodology, and bases its theoretical foundation on Freud’s psychoanalytic theory and its analyses within his framework. Based on this theoretical background, the study concludes that the “freedom” and demands in the name of ensuring it marketed by neoliberalism to individuals and societies, lead to greater subordination in the psyche of both the individual and society. From this point of view, we believe that neoliberal freedom is an illusion that leads to self-exploitation and thus to serious damage to the psyche of the individual and society.
