Bursa, Yiğitler kentsel dönüşüm projesinin breeam communıtıes sürdürülebilirlik değerlendirme aracı bağlamında incelenmesi

Abstract

Bir yerleşme türü olan kentler, toplumların yaşayış biçimlerinin bir ürünü olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Kentler, zaman içinde ortaya çıkan ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilmek için değişime uğramakta, bu değişimler birçok sorunu beraberinde getirmektedir. Kentlerde ortaya çıkan problemlerin çözümünde ve kentsel sürdürülebilirliği sağlamada ise sürdürülebilir kentsel dönüşüm uygulamalarına gereksinim duyulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada genel amaç, kentsel dönüşüm proje ve uygulama süreçleriyle sürdürülebilirliğin farklı boyutları arasındaki ilişkinin dolayısıyla sürdürülebilir kentsel dönüşüm uygulama süreçlerinin ve uygulamada kolaylık sağlayan yöntemlerin incelenmesidir. Bu bağlamda çalışma kapsamında sürdürülebilirlik değerlendirme sertifika sistemleri araştırılmış ve bu sistemlerin birinden yararlanılarak Bursa’daki bir kentsel dönüşüm projesi örneği değerlendirilmiştir. Tez çalışması beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde tezin amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi tanımlanmıştır. İkinci bölümde, kentsel dönüşüm, sürdürülebilirlik, sürdürülebilir kentsel gelişim, sürdürülebilir kentsel dönüşüm kavramları ve kentsel alanlarda sürdürülebilirlik değerlendirme araçları ve sertifika sistemleri anlatılmıştır. Üçüncü bölüm ise, Bursa’da uygulanacak bir kentsel dönüşüm projesinin seçilen sürdürülebilirlik değerlendirme aracının değerlendirme ölçütleriyle analizini kapsamaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde analiz sonucunda elde edilen bulgular çevresel/ekolojik ve sosyo-kültürel sürdürülebilirlik başlıkları altında değerlendirilmiştir. Son bölümde ise kentsel dönüşüm projelerinin sürdürülebilirlik ölçütleri bağlamında uygulanabilirliği tartışılmış ve yeni çalışmalara yol gösterebilmek amacıyla önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

As a type of settlement, cities emerged as a product of the way societies live. Cities are undergoing changes in order to meet their needs in time and these changes bring about many problems. Sustainable urban regeneration practices are needed to solve the problems that arise in cities and to ensure urban sustainability. The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between urban regeneration project and implementation processes and different dimensions of sustainability and examinate implementation processes of sustainable urban regeneration and methods that facilitate implementation. In this context, sustainability assessment certificate systems in urban scale and one of urban regeneration projects in Bursa is evaluated by means of one of the certification systems. The thesis consists of five chapters. In the introduction part, the aim, scope and method of the thesis are defined. In the second part, the concepts of urban regeneration, sustainability, sustainable urban regeneration and sustainable assesment tools in urban aresas are explained. The third section icludes the case study in which an example urban regeneration project that will be implemented in Bursa is evaluated via criteria of selected sustainability assessment tool. In the fourth chapter, the findings obtained from the sustainability analysis of the selected urban regenartion project are evaluated by components of sustainability. In the fifth and final section, the results of the analysis are evaluated, the applicability of urban regeneration projects in the context of sustainability criteria are discussed and recommendations are made in order to light a way to new studies
