The aim of this study is to determine the effects of honeybee pollination on yield and quality in sunflowers cultivated under field conditions in Bursa province. For this purpose, a total of 80 sample sunflower heads were selected in pairs (40+40) from the selected production area. Half of these sunflower heads were covered with gauze bags, and the other half were left in the wild. Thus, the differences between honeybee-pollinated samples and those isolated from the outside environment and pollinated only by wind were analyzed. For these analyses, samples were collected after seed formation was completed on the sunflower heads. The necessary counting (seed set rate), weighing (seed weights), and protein, fat, and acid analyses were performed in the laboratory. The results were then statistically analyzed. In this study, the difference in yield and quality between honeybee-pollinated sunflower heads and those isolated from all weather conditions was measured. The analysis results indicated that the differences between closed and openpollinated samples were not statistically significant. It was concluded that the high temperatures and strong winds experienced during the flowering period made it difficult for honeybees to visit flowers, thus negatively impacting pollination activities. Factors affecting sunflower oil quality were analyzed using fat, protein, and acid analyses, and the values of these measurements were compared. Evaluations were made based on the results of the analyses.
