Özet

This study aims to examine the relationship between intrinsic religious motivation and self-hatred, and the mediating role of integrative hope in this relationship. The study group of this quantitatively designed study consists of 100 male and 279 female participants aged 20 to 60 living in different cities of Türkiye. The data were obtained by using Self-Hatred Scale, Intrinsic Religious Motivation Scale, and Integrative Hope Scale. SPSS 28 program and SPSS PROCESS 4.2 were used to process the data. In the study, a significant negative relationship was found between intrinsic religious motivation and self-hatred, a significant positive relationship was found between intrinsic religious motivation and integrative hope, and a significant negative relationship was found between integrative hope and self-hatred. Additionally, mediation analysis showed that hope plays a fully mediating role in the relationship between intrinsic religious motivation and self-hatred.
