Gökova Körfezi'nin turizme ekonomik katkısı

Abstract

Türkiye'de "Özel Çevre Koruma Alanı" altına alınarak; 12 Özel Çevre Koruma Alam yaratılmıştır. Bunlardan bir tanesi de; "Gökova Özel Çevre Ko ruma Alanı"dır. Koruma altına alınan bölge Gökova Körfezi içi olup, turizm merkezlerinden (Bodrum ve Marmaris daha çoktur) organize edilen turist ve turist gruplarının bu bölgeyi karayoluyla veya deniz yoluyla gezi alanı olarak kullanmaları sağlanılmaktadır. Turizm sektörünü önemli bir konu haline getiren birinci faktör olarak; iş gücü ihtiyacının diğer sektörlere göre daha fazla olması nedeniyle "gelişmekte" olan veya "azgelişmiş ülkelerde" ekonomik kalkınmada önemli bir etkendir. İkinci olarak; bölgelerarası geri kalmışlığı ortadan kaldırabilecek bir sektör olabilme özelliğindedir.Recently; several "Special Nature Protection Areas" have been created in Turkey. One of these is Gökova Bay. The purpose of this study is to examine development of tourism in the Area. Industrial threats to the environment in relation to tourism are discussed and tourism management strategies available for environmental protection are examined. The tourism industry makes an important contribution to employment, much of it being to the less economically developed regions of the country, thus helping to equalize the geographical distribution of income. In 1998, The Marmaris and Bodrum Tourism industry earned 392.568.000 dollars came from foreign visitors and was Turkish tourists, spending. The natural environment is an important factor in Marmaris' s and Bodrum' s tourism product. The tourist industry relies heavily on the country side environment which is still full off wildlife and being clean and restful.
