The oldest known source of herbal raw materials, Cannabis is a strategic plant that has been used for sustenance (seed/oil), textile (fiber), therapeutic, and recreational reasons throughout human history. Global discussions about the production and use of hemp from Cannabis in the world have become more intense in recent years. Phytocannabinoids obtained from Cannabis are being used intensively against diseases such as HIV/AIDS and multiple sclerosis, spastic contractions, chronic and nerve pains, cancer, and in the treatment oftreatment childhood epilepsy. Extensive research has been done on the chemical composition of this species due to the widespread usage of phytocannabinoids for therapeutic purposes. This study aimed to reveal the diversity of global data on the traditional uses of Cannabis and the scientific studies on it in recent years.
