Contributions to the lichen flora of Kastamonu and Sinop Provinces in Turkey

Abstract

The present study reports 167 lichen taxa from Kastamonu province and 94 from Sinop province in Turkey. Twelve species are new to Turkey: Acarospora heppii (Nageli) Nageli, Acrocordia salweyi (Leight. ex Nyl.) A.L.Sm., Arthonia punctiformis Eschw., Bacidia arnoldiana Korb., Bacidia trachona (Ach.) Lettau, Caloplaca concilians (Nyl.) H.Olivier, Candelariella athallina (Wedd.) Du Rietz, Enterographa elaborata (Lyell ex Leight.) Coppins & P.James, Eopyrenula leucoplaca (Wallr.) R.C.Haris, Lecanora impudens Degel., Staurothele caesia (Arnold) Arnold and Verrucaria pinguicula A.Massal. 76 taxa are new to the province of Kastamonu and 49 are new to the province of Sinop.The present study reports 167 lichen taxa from Kastamonu province and 94 from Sinop province in Turkey.
