| dc.description.abstract | As invasive breast carcinomas demonstrate various histopathologic characteristics, radiologic appearances are variable. Invasive ductal carcinoma typically manifests as a spiculated or irregular mass or as a new focal asymmetry. Occasionally, lesions present as oval, round shaped or complex cystic masses on mammography and ultrasonography. Doppler ultrasound and MR imaging can aid in diagnosis. © 2009 Elsevier Ireland Ltd.
