Integrated management system for vending machines

Abstract

In this study, management system is presented to minimize operational costs for vending machines. Figure A summarizes the developed system for the working scenario. In this study, an inventory management model and distribution planning model for vending machines network are developed. In inventory management model, warehouse inventory is classified by evaluating multiple criteria and different scenarios are suggested to vending system manager. A heuristic algorithm is developed in distribution planning model and significant travelling distance savings are observed when compared to current situation.
