Kuzey orjinli yüksek boylu maviyemiş (Vaccinium corymbosum L.) çeşitlerinin saksıda yetiştiriciliğinde büyüme performansının değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, 2023 ve 2024 yıllarında Bursa ilinin İznik ilçesindeki A-Plas Genel Otomotiv Mamülleri San. ve Tic. A.Ş. firmasına ait maviyemiş plantasyonunda, açık alanda saksıda yetiştirilen 11 farklı kuzey yüksek boylu maviyemiş çeşidi incelenmiştir. Bu çeşitler arasında ‘Earliblue’, ‘Duke’, ‘Titanium’, ‘Bluecrop’, ‘Bluegold’, ‘Bluejay’, ‘MegasBlue’, ‘Liberty’, ‘Darrow’, ‘Brigitta’ ve ‘Aurora’ yer almaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında, bu çeşitlerin çiçek tomurcuğu, çiçek ve meyve gelişim fenolojisi gözlemlenmiş, bitkisel ve meyve özellikleri detaylı olarak incelenmiştir. Çiçeklenme ve meyve olgunlaşma fenolojik dönemleri, en erken ‘Earliblue’ çeşidinde, en geç ise ‘Brigitta’ ve ‘Aurora’ çeşitlerinde kayıt edilmiştir. Çeşitlerin hasat tarihleri arasında belirgin farklılıklar gözlemlenmiştir. İlk hasat ‘Earliblue’ çeşidinde yapılmış, son hasat ise ‘Aurora’ çeşidinde tamamlanmıştır. ‘Brigitta’ ve ‘Duke’ çeşitleri kısa, ‘Liberty’ ve ‘Aurora’ çeşitleri ise uzun hasat sürelerine sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çeşitlerin bitki başına verimi 250 g (‘Bluejay’) ile 843 g (‘Earliblue’) arasında değişiklik göstermiştir. Maviyemiş çeşitleri arasında sürgün sayısı (adet), sürgün kalınlığı (mm), ana dal kalınlığı (mm), bitki boyu (cm) ve ocak genişliği (cm), yaprak boyutları açısından istatistiksel olarak önemli farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Çeşitlerin bitki boyu, 72,75 cm (‘Bluejay’) ile 105,82 cm (‘Liberty’) arasında değişmiştir. ‘Earliblue’ ve ‘Liberty’ çeşitlerinin büyük, ‘Bluejay’ çeşidinin ise en küçük yaprak boyutlarına sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. Maviyemiş çeşitlerinin meyve boyutları ve ağırlıkları yıllara ve hasat dönemlerine göre belirgin farklılıklar göstermiştir. ‘MegasBlue’ çeşidi en büyük ve en ağır, ‘Liberty’, ‘Titanium’, ‘Brigitta’ ve ‘Duke’ çeşitleri de büyük, meyve boyutlarına sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. Çeşitlerin pH, titre edilebilir asitlik (TEA) (g/100 mL), suda çözünebilir kuru madde (SÇKM) (%), değerlerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. En yüksek SÇKM %16-17 ile ‘Bluejay’, en düşük ise %12 ile ‘Bluegold’ çeşidinde saptanmıştır. ‘Aurora’ en yüksek asit içeriğine sahipken, en düşük asitlik ‘Titanium’ ve ‘Duke’ çeşitlerinde tespit edilmiştir. ‘Duke’ çeşidinde her hasat döneminde yüksek pH ve düşük asit seviyeleri gözlenmiştir. Duyusal tadımda, ‘Liberty’, ‘MegasBlue’, ‘Brigitta’ ve ‘Titanium’ çeşitleri yüksek puan almıştır.This study examined 11 different northern highbush blueberry varieties cultivated in pots in an open-field setting at the blueberry plantation owned by A-Plas General Automotive Products Industry and Trade Inc. in İznik, Bursa, during the years 2023 and 2024. The examined varieties include ‘Earliblue’, ‘Duke’, ‘Titanium’, ‘Bluecrop’, ‘Bluegold’, ‘Bluejay’, ‘MegasBlue’, ‘Liberty’, ‘Darrow’, ‘Brigitta’, and ‘Aurora’. The present research focused on observing the flower bud, flower, and fruit development phenology of these varieties and conducting a detailed analysis of their vegetative and fruit characteristics. The phenological stages of flowering and fruit ripening were recorded earliest in the ‘Earliblue’ variety and latest in ‘Brigitta’ and ‘Aurora’. Significant differences in harvest dates were observed among the varieties. The first harvest was conducted for the ‘Earliblue’ variety, while the final harvest was completed for ‘Aurora’. It was determined that ‘Brigitta’ and ‘Duke’ had short harvest periods, whereas ‘Liberty’ and ‘Aurora’ had extended harvest durations. The yield per plant ranged from 250 g (‘Bluejay’) to 843 g (‘Earliblue’). Statistically significant differences were found among the blueberry varieties regarding shoot number (count), shoot thickness (mm), main branch thickness (mm), plant height (cm), crown width (cm), and leaf dimensions. Plant height varied between 72.75 cm (‘Bluejay’) and 105.82 cm (‘Liberty’). ‘Earliblue’ and ‘Liberty’ were found to have the largest leaf sizes, whereas ‘Bluejay’ had the smallest. The fruit size and weight of blueberry varieties exhibited significant variations across years and harvest periods. ‘MegasBlue’ had the largest and heaviest fruits, while ‘Liberty’, ‘Titanium’, ‘Brigitta’, and ‘Duke’ were also identified as large-fruited varieties. Statistically significant differences were observed in pH, titratable acidity (TA) (g/100 mL), and water-soluble solid content (WSSC) (%). The highest WSSC was found in ‘Bluejay’ (16–17%), whereas the lowest one was found in ‘Bluegold’ (12%). ‘Aurora’ had the highest acidity, whereas ‘Titanium’ and ‘Duke’ had the lowest acidity levels. In ‘Duke’, high pH and low acidity levels were consistently observed across all harvest periods. In sensory assessments, ‘Liberty’, ‘MegasBlue’, ‘Brigitta’, and ‘Titanium’ had the high scores.
