Nevrotik bozukluk tanılı bireylerin dini yaşantılarını konu edinen bu çalışma, nevrotik bozukluk tanılı bireylerin dindarlıkları ve rahatsızlıklarıyla mücadelelerinde dini başa çıkma ile ilgili deneyimlerini, düşüncelerini ve algılarını anlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenolojik desene dayalı olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda amaçlı örneklem yöntemi ile ulaşılan Ruh Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları (psikiyatri) polikliniğinde “Nevrotik Bozukluk” tanısı almış ve tedavi gören, yaşları 21 ile 74 arasında değişen, 14 kadın ve 16 erkek, 30 kişi ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu şekilde elde edilen verilerin analizinde, betimsel analiz, içerik analizi ve fenomenolojik yorumlayıcı analiz yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, katılımcıların çoğunun, olumlu din ve Allah algısına sahip oldukları, öznel dindarlık algılarının zayıf ve yetersiz olduğu, inançlı ama dinin gereklerini yerine getirmeyen dindar oldukları, dindarlığı bireysel olarak yaşamayı tercih ettikleri, ibadetlerinde eksiklik ve aksama olduğu görülmektedir. Dini inancın nevrotik bozukluğa neden olmadığı ama nevrotik bozukluğun dindarlığı etkilediği görülmektedir. Nevrotik bozukluk ile mücadelelerinde olumlu dini başa çıkma etkinliklerini kullandıkları ve olumlu sonuçlar aldıkları anlaşılmaktadır. Dini yaşantılarının zayıf olmasına rağmen dinin ruh sağlığına olumlu etkisinin olduğuna inandıkları görülmektedir.
This study, which focuses on the religious lives of individuals diagnosed with neurotic disorder, aims to understand their religiousness, and experiences, thoughts and perceptions related to copying with disorders. In line with this purpose, the research was done based on the phenomenological pattern, one of the qualitative research methods. In this context, the through purposeful sampling method, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 30 people, 14 women and 16 men, aged between 21 and 74, who were diagnosed with “Neurotic Disorder” and receiving treatment at the Mental Health and Diseases Clinic (Psychiatry). In the analysis of the data, it was used descriptive analysis, content analysis and phenomenological interpretive analysis methods. As a result of the research, it is seen that most of the participants have a positive perception of religion and God, their subjective perception of religiosity is inadequate, they are believer but don’t fulfill the requirements of their religion, they prefer to experience religiosity as individual, and there are deficiencies and disruptions in their worship. Also, it seems that their religionial belief don’t cause neurotic disorders, but neurotic disorder affects their religiousness. It is understood that they benefited from positive religious coping activities and got positive results in their struggle with neurotic disorder, too. More, it is understood they believe religion has positive effects on their mental health, although their religious experience is inadequate.
