Giving bad news to patients and patients' family

Abstract

Today, physicians are morely getting involved to his/her patients' terminal diseases, death and dying due to prolonged life. Breaking bad,sad and difficult news to patients is a difficult and distressing task for a physician. Communication of bad news requires skills and sensitivity. For improving these communication skills, a systematic approach can make the process more easy, predictable and less distressing for the physician. Undergraduate and postgraduate education concerning these sensitive issues are needed for all the physicians.
