The liberalization and the case of Turkey in telecommunications sector

Abstract

The importance of telecommunications as a tool to achieve economic and social goals is getting increase. With rapid growth in information and communication technologies, countries have started reforms in telecommunications sector. Reforms include a progress. Privatization and liberalization are the main stages of reforms. Liberalization contributes to enhance competition in the sector. In this study, the stage and importance of liberalization and the implementation of Turkey are investigated.
