Alfred Jules Ayer açısından mantıkçı pozitivizm ve Karl Popper’da bilimin sınırlarını çizme sorunu

Abstract

Bir sınır belirleme problem olan Demarcation problemi için bilimin ve bilginin nasıl sınırlandırılacağı merkezi bir sorundur. Bu sorun, felsefenin, bilimin ve bilim tarihinin ortak olarak kabul edilen sorunlarından biridir. Bu problem üzerinde yoğun tartışmaların yaşandığı yirminci yüzyılda Alfred Jules Ayer düşünceleri bağlamında mantıkçı pozitivistlerin bu probleme yönelik bakış açısı gözler önüne serilmeye çalışılacaktır. Ayrıca Ayer’in yanı sıra mantıkçı pozitivistlerden ciddi şekilde farklılaşan yaklaşımlar öne süren Karl Popper’ın sınır belirleme problemine yönelik açıklamaları da tartışılmaya çalışılacaktır. Bilimin, felsefenin, metafiziğin, tümevarımın konumu hakkında farklı iddialarda bulunan bu iki farklı tarafın öne sürdüğü iddialar, temelleri ve sonuçlarıyla birlikte özgün bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirilecektir.

For the Demarcation problem, which is a boundary-setting problem, how to limit science and knowledge is a central problem. This problem is one of the commonly accepted problems of philosophy, science and the history of science. In the context of Alfred Jules Ayer in the twentieth century, when there were intense discussions on this problem, the perspective of logical positivists on this problem will be tried to be revealed. In addition, in addition to Ayer, Karl Popper's explanations of demarcation problem, which propose approaches that differ significantly from logical positivists, will also be tried to be discussed. The claims put forward by these two different parties, who make different claims about the position of science, philosophy, metaphysics, induction, will be evaluated from an original point of view, along with their foundations and results.
