Psikocoğrafya yaklaşımı ile kadın, mekân ve duygu: Bursa Osmangazi örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Bursa İli Osmangazi ilçesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan Hanlar Bölgesi ile Çarşamba (Çırpan) semti özelinde psikocoğrafi bir perspektif kullanarak kadınların mekânsal algılamalarını incelemektir. Çalışmada, katılımcıların mekâna yönelik algılamalarını inceleyebilmek adına nitel araştırma desenlerinden yorumlayıcı fenomenolojik analiz kullanılmış, katılımcılarla yarı yapılandırılmış derinlemesine görüşme tekniği üzerinden görüşmeler sağlanmıştır. Çalışma sonunda katılımcıların mekâna yönelik duygularını ölçebilmek için Robert Plutchik’e ait olan Duygu Çarkı üzerinden duygularını ifade etmeleri istenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda Çarşamba semti için katılımcıların büyük bir çoğunluğunun (91,7) semte karşı olumsuz duygular besledikleri, bunda da semtin değişen sosyokültürel ve demografik yapısının etkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Hanlar Bölgesi’nde ise katılımcıların %100’ünün bölgeye karşı olumlu duygular besledikleri, bunda da bölgenin maneviyatının ve tarihi dokusunun öneminin büyük olduğu saptanmıştır. Katılımcıların Robert Plutchik’in Duygu Çarkı üzerinden belirttikleri duygularda, Çarşamba semti için “kaygı”, “korku”, “tiksinme” ve “dehşet” gibi ifadeler ön plana çıkarken Hanlar Bölgesi özelinde ise “sükûnet”, “sevinç” ve “haşmet” gibi ifadeler ön plana çıkmıştır

The aim of this study is to examine women's spatial perceptions using a psychogeographical perspective, specifically in the Hanlar Region and Çarşamba (Çırpan) district, located within the borders of Osmangazi district of Bursa Province. In the study, interpretive phenomenological analysis, one of the qualitative research designs, was used to examine the participants' perceptions of the space, and interviews were conducted with the participants through the semi-structured in-depth interview technique. At the end of the study, participants were asked to express their feelings on the Emotion Wheel, which belongs to Robert Plutchik, in order to measure their feelings about the place. As a result of the study, it was determined that the majority of participants (91.7) for Çarşamba district had negative feelings towards the district, and the changing sociocultural and demographic structure of the district was effective in this. In the Khans Region, it was determined that 100% of the participants had positive feelings towards the region, and the spirituality and historical texture of the region was of great importance in this. In the emotions expressed by the participants through Robert Plutchik's Wheel of Emotions, expressions such as "anxiety", "fear", "disgust" and "horror" come to the fore for Çarşamba district, while "tranquility", "joy" and "majesty" come to the fore in the Hanlar District. expressions came to the fore.
