Tapyokanın kuzu besi yeminde kullanılma olanakları

In this study, 60 male Karacabey Merino lambs at 3 months of age were used and the Jambs divided into 4 groups of 15 lambs. All of the groups were fed on barley straw, as roughage. The concentrate of the control group included 60 % maize but the maize in the concentrates of 2, 3 and 4 th groups were replaced by tapioca at levels of20, 30 and 40 %, respectively. The feeding experiment was consisted of adaptation period of 15 days and fattening period of 77 days. Average daily gains of the control, 2, 3 and 4th groups were 332.0, 311.1, 296.1 and 288.3 g, respectively. There were no significant differences among average daily weight gains of the groups. Feed efficiencies of the control, 2, 3 and 4th groups were 5.34, 5.35, 5.57 and 6.02, respectively. The control group had the highest feed cost of per kg Jive weight gain but 2 nd group had the lowest. It is concluded that tapioca can be used up to 40 %in the concentrates but economical circumstances must be considered
