    Newcastle hastalığı virulans- hastalık şekilleri- teşhis ve hastalıkla savaş

    Newcastle disease viruses isolated from different cases uary in virulans. Three standart technigues are used to determine the virulans of Newcastle disease virus isolates. These are mean death time, intracerebral pathogenicity index and intravenous pathogenicity index, using embryos or baby chicks. Velogenic strains were iso lated from the epidemics. Some mesogenic and lentogenic strains may also result in forms of Newcastle disease. An affective immune response against the disease should protect the chickens against death, elinical signs and drop in egg production. The vaccines used should contain 10 7.0 EID/ 50 per dose at least . The vaccination programs suggested and the importance of the hijiyen in protection of the chicken flocks were discussed.

    Piliçlerde akut seyirli bir aspergillosis salgını üzerinde araştırma

    An acute aspergillosis outbreak occured in 130 days old chickens was investi gated. Mortality reached 20 % 3000 chickens. Anorexia, listlessness and diarhoe were observed in most of the affected chickens. At autopsy discrete lesions in dif ferrent size were seen throughout the lungs, liver, and kidneys. Lesions were also found in proventriculus, Bursa of fabricius and heart. Smail typical nodules were present on airsacs. Masses of hyphae were seen in lesions histopathologically, Fun dus isolated on Sabouraud's agar was identified morphologically as A. fumigatus on slide • culture. Disease devoloped in 10 days in chicks experimentolly exposed to the culture of A . fumigatus by aerosol and fed with contaminated food.
