dc.description.abstractGüvenlik konsepti, tarihsel olarak dinamik bir kavram olagelmiş ve genellikle subjektif olarak tanımlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplinindeki Pozitivist ve Post-Pozitivist teorilerin her biri güvenlik konusuna farklı bir bakış açısı geliştirmiştir. Temelleri 1980'lerin başında atılan ve daha sonraki süreçte kuramsal bir altyapı kurmaya çalışan Kopenhag Okulu, özellikle Güvenlikleştirme yaklaşımıyla güvenlik konusuna özgün bir perspektif getirerek akademik yazında önemli bir yer edinmiş ve birçok konu ve meselenin bu teorik çerçevede analiz edilmesine olanak sağlamıştır. Bu çalışma, Türkiye'nin Iraklı Kürt unsurlarla ilişkilerini Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluş sürecinden başlayarak Güvenlikleştirme ve Güvenliksizleştirme Yaklaşımları çerçevesinde analiz etmektedir. Güvenlikleştirmeler, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun dağılmasından sonra kurulan yeni devletin ulus devlet anlayışının, Iraklı Kürt unsurları yeni yapıya varoluşsal tehdit olarak etiketleyerek "öteki" olarak konumlandırması ve devlet elitlerinin bu yönde politikalar oluşturması sürecidir. Bu süreç, 1920'lerde başlayarak 2000'li yılların ortalarına kadar devam etmiştir. Güvenliksizleştirmeler, görece olarak çok yeni olmasına rağmen, bu araştırmanın yapıldığı dönemde yaşanan gelişmeler, çalışmaya Güvenliksizleştirmeleri de dahil etmenin isabetli olduğunu ortaya çıkarmıştır.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractThe concept of security has always been a dynamic term and has had a subjective definition. In this context, as far as the International Relations Discipline is concerned, each of the Positivist and Post-Positivist International Relations theories has developed a different perspective towards the concept of security. Copenhagen School, which was founded in the early 1980s and hereafter tried to establish a theoretical base, has developed a unique perspective on this concept especially with its Securitization approach. This approach has occupied an important place in the academic literature and enabled scholars to analyze several issues in this framework. This study seeks to analyze the relations of Turkey and Iraqi Kurds in the framework of Securitization and Desecuritization approaches starting from the establishment of TurkishRepublic. In this regard, "Securitizations" is a process in which the new Turkish nation state ideology replacing the Ottoman Empire is labeling the Iraqi Kurds as existential threats and positioning them as "the other" as they are considered to pose threat to the new state. This process started in the early 1920s and continued until the mid 2000s. As for the Desecuritizations, they are relatively quite new, but the recent developments have proved that it was to the point to include them in this study.en_US
