dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmen adayı öğrencilerin öğrenme-öğretme süreçleri hakkındaki inançlarına temel oluşturan merkezi epistemolojik inançlarını ölçmeye yönelik bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Merkezi epistemolojik inançları temsil ettiği düşünülen toplam 23 maddeden oluşan beşli Likert tipi bir ölçek elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliğini saptamak amacıyla 350 öğretmen adayı öğrenciden toplanan verilerin Temel Bileşenler Analizi yöntemi ile faktör yapısına bakılmıştır. Varimax rotasyonu da uygulanarak dört faktörlü çözümün sınandığı faktör analizi sonucunda 28 maddenin 23 ünün dört faktöre, 49’dan yüksek faktör yükü ile yüklenebildiği saptanmıştır. Faktörlere ait maddeler incelendiğinde birinci faktörün “Bilgi kaynağı olarak bilime inanç”, ikinci faktörün “Rasyonel topluma inanç”, üçüncü faktörün “Batıl ritüellere inanç” ve dördüncü faktörün de “Doğaüstü güçlere inanç” alt ölçekleri olabileceği düşünülmüş ve belirtilen biçimde adlandırılmışlardır. Alt ölçeklerin alfa güvenirlik katsayılarının kabul edilebilir düzeyde olduğu bulunmuştur.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the present paper was to develop a central epistemological beliefs scale in order to investigate epistemological belief dimensions held by the teacher education students. A questionnaire of 28 items was prepared using a Likert five- point scale. This was administered to 350 teacher students and the data were factor analyzed, using Principal Component Analysis with Varimax Rotation. The factor analysis of the questionnaire responses resulted in 23 items (loading values greater than .49) which loaded on four factors. Based on the nature of the loaded items, these four factors were labeled “Belief in science as a source of knowledge”, “Belief in rational society”, “Belief in supersitious rituels”, “Belief in supernatural forces”. The findings showed that reliability of the sub-scales is on the acceptable level.en_US
