dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı, Wittgenstein’ın Felsefi Soruşturmalar’da ortaya koyduğu dil ve anlam görüşünün, Kartezyen felsefenin öne sürdüğü dil ve anlam görüşünün eleştirisi olarak ele alınabileceğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla, öncelikle, Descartes’ın, kişinin kendi bilinç içeriklerine doğrudan erişimi olduğu varsayımından hareketle geliştirdiği ve özel bir dilin olanaklı olduğu düşüncesini içeren dil ve anlamla ilgili görüşlerine yer verilmiştir. Descartes’a göre anlam, dilin, kişiye özel zihin içerikleriyle ilişkilendirilmesi sonucunda oluşur. Bu görüş bizi, ortak bir anlamın olanaklı olmaması gibi bazı sorunlarla baş başa bırakır. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, Wittgenstein’ın Kartezyen anlam görüşüne yönelik eleştirileri ortaya konulmuş; dil oyunları ve “özel dil argümanı”na dayanarak anlamın kişiye özel bir şekilde zihin içeriklerine gönderimde bulunarak değil, dil oyunları çerçevesinde, sosyal bir uzlaşıma dayanarak oluşturulduğu gösterilmiştir.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractIn this study, it is argued that Wittgenstein’s ideas on language and meaning in the Philosophical Investigations can be evaluated as an objection to Cartesian view of (language and) meaning. With this aim, first, Descartes’ thoughts on language and meaning is presented. Assuming that one has a direct access to the contents of his own mind, Descartes argues that private language is possible. According to Descartes, meaning is created through a relation between language and the contents of one’s own mind. This view faces us with the problem of the impossibility of a meaning which is shared by all. In the second part of the study, Wittgenstein’s criticisms against Cartesian theory of meaning is presented with reference to language games and private language argument. And it is showed that meaning cannot be created in a way which is special to the subject by referring to mental contents, but it is created publicly through social agreement in language games.en_US
