Bu çalışmada, Kocaeli (İzmit) İli atmosferinde 11 Şubat 2012 ? 10 Şubat 2013 tarihleri arasındaki bir yıllık süre boyunca Lanzoni VPPS 2000 cihazı kullanılarak atmosferik polen örneklemesi yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda 48 taksona ait 29 120 ve 681 bilinmeyen olmak üzere toplam 29 801 polen/m3 belirlenmiştir. Bunlardan 30 taksonun odunsu (% 69,330), 18 taksonun otsu bitkilere (% 28,385) ait olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kocaeli atmosferinde dominant olarak görülen, polen spektrumunda %1 ve üzeri orana sahip olan taksonlar sırasıyla; Cupressaceae/Taxaceae (% 25,596), Urticaceae (% 9,926), Poaceae (% 8,909), Platanus sp.( % 8,842), Quercus sp. (% 6,708), Fraxinus sp. (% 4,913), Pinus sp. (% 4,225), Alnus sp. (% 3,362), Morus sp. (% 3,017), Plantago sp.(% 2,567), Chenopodiaceae/Amaranthaceae (% 2,319), Corylus sp.(% 1,929), Olea sp. (% 1,836), Ambrosia sp. (% 1,540), Fagus sp. (% 1,225), Castanea sp. (% 1,164), Salix sp. (% 1,087) olarak belirlenmiştir. En yüksek polen konsantrasyonu Nisan ayında tespit edilmiştir.
In this study, atmospheric polen sampling performed by using Lanzoni VPPS 2000 trap between 11 February 2012 – 10 February 2013 in the atmosphere of Kocaeli (İzmit). As a result of this study, a total of 29 801 polen/m 3 (29 120 identified and unidentified 681) determined belonging to 48 taxa. Of these, 30 taxa recorded as belonging to arboreal plants (% 69,330) and 18 of them recorded as belonging to non-arboreal plants (% 28,385). Dominated pollen grains (more than %1) in the yearly pollen spectrum of Kocaeli atmosphere were Cupressaceae/Taxaceae (% 25,596), Urticaceae (% 9,926), Poaceae (% 8,909), Platanus sp.( % 8,842), Quercus sp. (% 6,708), Fraxinus sp. (% 4,913), Pinus sp. (% 4,225), Alnus sp. (% 3,362), Morus sp. (% 3,017), Plantago sp.(% 2,567), Chenopodiaceae/Amaranthaceae (% 2,319), Corylus sp.(% 1,929), Olea sp.
