Abstract
Corto Maltese, Hugo Pratt’ın çizgi roman dünyasına kazandırdığı önemli ve sevilen bir kahramandır. Corto maceralarının anlatıldığı Corto çizgi roman serileri birçok dile çevrilmiştir. Dost Kitabevi de Corto çizgi romanlarını yayınlayarak Türk okuyucusunu bu sevilen çizgi romanla buluşturdu. Semerkant’daki Altın Yaldızlı Ev adlı çizgi roman’daki bazı olaylar Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun son dönem sınırlarındaki şehirlerde geçtiği için Türk okuyucusunun daha çok dikkatini çekmektedir. Semerkant’a ulaşmak için Corto Maltese, arkadaşı Rasputin ile birlikte, Adana, Tarsus, Van gibi illerimizden geçerken heyecanlı maceralar yaşarlar. Hikâye 1921 yılında Corto’nun Rodos’daki Kavaklı Camii’nin kubbesinde Pers Kralı Büyük Kyrus’un hazineden bahseden elyazmasını bulmasıyla başlar. Corto ve arkadaşı Rasputin hazineyi bulmak için Semerkant’a ulaşmak zorundadırlar. Bu maceraları sırasında onlar Enver Paşayla karşılaşırlar. Enver Paşa Turan fikrinin gerçekleşmesi için Kafkaslarda Bolşevik’lere karşı mücadele vermektedir. Corto ve Rasputin Paşanın bu mücadelesine şahit olurlar. Pratt’ın anlattığı Corto macerasının bazı bölümlerinde Oryantalist bakış açısını görmek mümkündür. Corto maceraları için aslında Hugo Pratt’ın kendi hayatının bir yansıması diyebiliriz. Hikâyenin sonunda, Corto ve Rasputin hayalini kurdukları hazineye ulaşamazlar. Türk çizgi romanının usta kalemi Suat Yalaz’da Pratt’dan farklı olarak Enver Paşa’nın hayatını dramatik bir şekilde Enver Paşa Efsanesi adlı çizgi romanında anlatmıştır.
Corto Maltese is an important and popular hero that Hugo Pratt brought into the graphic novel world. A series of Corto’s novels in which the adventures of Corto are narrated has been translated into many languages. Turkish bookstore, Dost, by publishing these series of novels of Corto, offered Turkish readers a nice service. As some of the events in The Golden House of Samarkand took place in some of the cities in the last borders of the Ottoman Empire, this graphic novel has attracted more attention of the Turkish readers. Corto and his freind, Rasputin, live exiting adventures in the provinces such as Tarsus, Adana, Van. The story begins in Rohodes with the discovery of the manuscript of Great Kyrus King of Persia by Corto which mentioned the treasure at the dome of the Kavaklı Mosque. Corto and his friend, Rasputin, have to reach Samarkand to find the secret treasure. When they were following up the treasure, they met Enver Pacha in the battlefield. Enver Pacha, for realizing the Turanian ideal, was fighting against the Russian Bolsheviks in The Caucasus. Corto and Rasputin witness these fights. We can see Hugo Pratt’s Oriantalist narrative point of view in some of the events. It seems Corto’s adventure’s reflect some of the real adventures experienced by Hugo Pratt to the readers. Corto and Rasputin, during the story, couldn’t reach the treasure which they dreamed of. Suat Yalaz, a Turkish master of graphic novel, also told dramatically the life and adventures of Enver Pacha in his masterpiece, The Legend of Enver Pacha.
