Abstract
Toplam kalite yönetimi; kalitenin sadece kalite kontrol ile sınırlandırılmasından ziyade örgütün tümüne harmonik bir biçimde yayılması üzerine temellenmiş bir kavramdır. Japonya’da ortaya çıkmış olmasına rağmen zamanla geçirdiği evrimlerle halihazırda küresel anlamda kendisine yer bulmuştur. Öz benlik değerlemesi (core self evaluation) kavramı ise bireyin kendisini öz değerlemesi üzerine temellenmektedir. Diğer taraftan hem seyrüsefer kuruluşlarındaki kalite yönetim sistemleri hem de hava trafik kontrolörlerinin öz değerlendirmelerinin öneminden dolayı toplam kalite yönetimi ve öz benlik değerlemesi kavramlarının hava seyrüsefer kuruluşları için önem arz ettiği düşünülmektedir. Her bir bireyi kalite yönetim sistemine katmayı ve değer haline getirmeyi esas alan toplam kalite yönetiminin öz benlik değerlemesi üzerine olumlu yönde anlamlı etkisi olduğu düşüncesinden hareket eden bu çalışma, TKY’nin öz benlik değerlemesi üzerine etkisini hava seyrüsefer kuruluşları bağlamında araştırmaktadır. Toplam kalite yönetimi ve öz benlik değerlemesi ölçekleri ile anket uygulanmıştır. 322 adet hava trafik kontrolörü çalışmaya katılmıştır. Araştırma neticesinde; toplam kalite yönetiminin öz benlik değerlemesi üzerinde olumlu yönde etkisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Total quality management is a concept based on the harmonious distribution of quality to the whole organization rather than narrowing it down to the quality control. Although it is a concept that emerged in Japan, it has already found a place for itself globally with the evolution it has gone through over time. Then, the concept of core self evaluation is based on the self evaluation of the individual. On the other hand both total quality management and core self evaluation concepts are considered to be important for air navigation organizations due to the importance of both the quality management systems in air navigation organizations and the self-evaluation of air traffic controllers. Based on the idea that total quality management- which is based on adding each individual to the quality management system and considering as a value- has a significant positive impact on core- self evaluation, this study investigates the impact of TQM on core- self evaluation in the context of air navigation organizations. A questionnaire was applied with total quality management and core-self evaluation scales. 322 air traffic controllers participated in the study. According to result of the research; it was found out that total quality management has a positive impact on core-self evaluation.
