dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim ikinci kademe öğrencilerinin SBS sınavında fen bilimleri sorularına verdikleri doğru cevap yüzdesinin düşük olmasının nedenlerine dair öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden, iç içe geçmiş tek durum deseni kullanılmıştır. Kocaeli merkeze bağlı, farklı bölgelerde yer alan okullar arasından 9 devlet okulunda görev yapan, toplam 12 Fen ve Teknoloji öğretmeni ve bu okullardan 5 tanesindeki 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencileri arasından, SBS’de yüksek, orta ve düşük başarı sergilemiş 1’er öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 30 öğrenci çalışma grubuna dahil edilmiştir. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış öğrenci ve öğretmen görüşme formları kullanılarak, yüz yüze görüşmelerle toplanmış ve içerik analiziyle çözümlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin başarılarındaki düşüklük nedenlerinin; öğrencilerin kendilerinden, öğretmenden, anne-babalarından, Fen ve Teknoloji Programı’ndan, fiziksel eksikliklerden ve konu veya soru sorma tarzından kaynaklandığı belirlenmiştir.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to present the view of primary school students and science and technology teachers about the reason for low percentage of correct answers in SBS exams. Qualitative research methodology is used and organized as an embedded single-case design. Twelve science and technology teacher working at public schools located different regions of Kocaeli and 30 students from grade 7 and 8 the one who had high, medium and low score in SBS from five of these schools are included in this study. The data collected from students and teachers with face to face interviews using semi-structured interview forms and analyzed with the content analysis. The rate of the student’s failure is stated as; because of themselves, their parents, Science and Technology Curriculum, physical deficiency and subject or manner of asking question.en_US
