| dc.description.abstract | Bilim tarihi içinde gerek felsefecilerin gerekse diğer bilim adamlarının üzerinde durdukları "nedensellik" kavramına istatistikçiler ve ekonometrisyenler tarafından kazandırılan operasyonel tanım yardımıyla iki değişken arasındaki nedensel ilişkinin ne tür bir ilişki olduğu belirlenebilir. Bu çalışmada önce felsefe tarihi içinde nedensellik kavramı kısaca incelenerek daha sonra C. W.J. Granger'ın operasyonel nedensellik tanımı açıklanmaktadır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde 1980-1985 yılları arasındaki aylık enflasyon ve geniş anlamda para arzı verilerine dayanılarak nedensel ilişkinin yönü belirlenmeye çalışılmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, 1980 öncesi için farklı yöntemlerle belirlenen geribildirim sonucunu destekler niteliktedir. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | In the history of science philosophers and other scientists have been interested in the concept of causality for many years. Using the operational concept of causality we may determine the kind of causal relationship between two variables. In this study we 've tried to explain the concept of causality briefly within the framework of history of philosophy and the operational concept of causality defined by C. W.J. Granger. In the last section of the study also a test based on Granger's definition has been applied using monthly data of inflation and money supply ( 1980-1985). The results seem to support the view of a feedback between inflation and money supply and are also similiar with the finding of another research based on pre-1980 period with different method. | en_US |
