Sağlık hizmetleri coğrafyası açısından Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Hastanesinin etki alanının belirlenmesi (2017-2021)

Abstract

Sağlık hizmetlerinin en önemli bileşenlerinden biri olan hastaneler bireylerin teşhis, tedavi sürecinin yapıldığı alanlardır. Sağlık hizmetleri sunan bu kurumların lokasyonu, hizmet kalitesi, hangi basamakta sağlık hizmeti sunduğu önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Bursa ilinin önemli sağlık kuruluşlarından biri olan Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Hastanesinin 2017-2021 yılları arasındaki istatistiki verileri dikkate alınarak etki alanının belirlenmesi olmuştur. Çalışma sağlık kurumlarının hizmet alanlarının belirlenmesi ve etki alanlarının ortaya konması açısından önemlidir. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler tablo ve haritalara dönüştürülmüştür. Etki alanını belirlemek amacıyla ArcGIS 10.7 yazılımı kullanılmıştır. Türkiye için referans bir sağlık kuruluşu olan ve eğitim araştırma hastanesi olarak hizmet veren Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Hastanesi, 3. basamak sağlık hizmeti sunan bir kurumdur. Hem Bursa ilinin çevre illere göre sağlık hizmet bölgesi olması hem de bu hastanenin eğitim araştırma hastanesi statüsünde olması komşu illerden hatta Türkiye’nin diğer illerinden de sağlık hizmeti talep edenlerin tercih ettiği bir hastane olmasını sağlamıştır.

Hospitals, one of the most important components of health services, are areas where individuals are diagnosed and treated. The location, service quality, and the level of health service provided by these institutions that provide health services are important. The purpose of this study was to determine the area of influence of Bursa Uludağ University Hospital, one of the important health institutions of Bursa province, by taking into account the statistical data between 2017-2021. The study is important in terms of determining the service areas of health institutions and revealing their areas of influence. Quantitative research method was used in the study. The data obtained in the study were converted into tables and maps. ArcGIS 10.7 software was used to determine the area of influence. Bursa Uludağ University Hospital, which is a reference health institution for Turkey and serves as a training and research hospital, is an institution that provides tertiary health services. Both the fact that Bursa is a health service region compared to the surrounding provinces and that this hospital has the status of a training and research hospital have made it a preferred hospital for those who demand health services from neighbouring provinces and even from other provinces of Turkey.
