Abstract
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı dinamik geometri yazılımı olan Cabri Geometri yazılımında gerçekleştirilen inşa çalışmalarının, 7. Sınıf geometri öğretiminde etkinliğini ve yerini; öğretim sürecinin detayları ile öğrenci görüşleri çerçevesince ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma, Cabri Geometri ile temel geometrik kavram ve şekillerin öğrenciler tarafından modellendiği inşa çalışmalarını ve günlük yaşamadan esinlenilerek oluşturulmuş bir görsel modelin, incelendiği ve modellendiği çalışmaları içermektedir. Geometri öğretimi ve günlük hayat arasında, yazılım ile bir köprü oluşturmak için “Günlük hayattaki geometrik yansımaları öğrencilere nasıl hissettirebiliriz?” düşüncesiyle orta çıkan çalışmada öğrencilerin çalışma kâğıtları ile yaptıkları inşa çalışmalarında ve bir yönerge olmadan kendilerinin yaptıkları görsel modelin inşa sürecinde karşılaştıkları güçlük ve fırsatlar incelenmiştir. Bununla birlikte uygulamanın, geometrik inşaya yönelik öğrenci görüşlerine etkisi üzerinde durulmuştur. Nitel araştırma olarak yapılan çalışmada eylem araştırması deseni kullanılırken, katılımcılar kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme ile belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Kocaeli iline bağlı Çayırova ilçesindeki bir devlet okulunda okuyan 12 7. sınıf öğrencisidir. Araştırma aşamalı olarak tanıtım, uygulama, model inceleme ve modelleme şeklinde gerçekleştirilmiş, uygulamalar öğrencilerin kendilerini daha rahat ifade etmeleri amacıyla kendi istekleri ile oluşturulmuş 2 kişilik gruplarla 7 hafta ve 23 saatlik çalışma sürecinde devam etmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri; çalışma kâğıtları, araştırmacı günlüğü notları, video ve bilgisayar ekran kayıtları ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu uygulanarak elde edilmiştir. Değerlendirme sürecinde ise elde edilen bulgular içerik analizi ile incelenmiştir. Analizler sonucunda yapılan uygulamanın; Cabri geometri yazılımında gerçekleştirilen görsel modelleme uygulamalarının öğrencilerde geometrik inşaya yönelik bir bakış açısı ve geometrik yapıya yönelik olumlu görüş oluşturduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca inşa süreçlerinde öğrencilerin karşılaştıkları güçlük ve fırsatlar ayrıntılı bir şekilde sunulmuş, elde edilen önemli sonuçlar ile birlikte önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The main purpose of this research is to examine the effectiveness and place of the construction works carried out in Cabri Geometry software, which is dynamic geometry software, in 7th grade geometry teaching; to reveal the details of the teaching process within the framework of student views. The research includes construction studies in which basic geometric concepts and shapes are modeled by students with Cabri Geometry, and studies in which a visual model inspired by daily life is examined and modeled. Study that arising with the thought that "How can we make students feel the geometric reflections in daily life?" to create a bridge between geometry teaching and daily life, with software, the difficulties and opportunities faced by the students in their construction works with worksheets and in the process of building the visual model that they made themselves without a directive were examined. In addition, effect of the application on the students' view relating to geometric construction is emphasized. While the action research design was used in the study conducted as a qualitative research, the participants were determined with easily accessible sampling. The study group of the research consist of 12 seventh grade student that study at a public school in Çayırova distinct of Kocaeli province. The research was realized gradually as introduction, application, model investigation, and in order to students express themselves more comfortable, practices continued for 7 week 23 hours with groups of 2 participants that constitute voluntarily. The research data was obtained by worksheets, researcher diary notes, computer screen recording, video recording and semi-structured interview form. In the analyses process, the results obtained were investigated with content analysis. As a result of the analysis; It was concluded that visual modeling applications performed in Cabri geometry software created a different perspective towards geometry and a positive view of geometric construction in students. In addition, the difficulties and opportunities faced by the students in the construction process were presented in detail, and suggestions were made along with the important results obtained.
