Abstract
Primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma (PMBL) is a rare neoplasm that develops from thymic medullary B cells in the mediastinum. It covers about 2-3% of all non-hodgin lymphomas. Despite its identification in 1980s, the optimal treatment is controversial. Although late relapse is rare, it usually develops within the first year of treatment. A 33 year-old woman had an anterior mediastinal mass was diagnosed with lymphoma, which was confirmed with biopsy. Despite not having lympoadenopathy and hepatosplenomegaly, PET was consistent with PMBL. The patient was treated with 6 cycles of R-CHOP and then with radiotherapy to mediastinum. After treatment, we observed a complete response. With close follow up, we did not see any relapse at the end of first year.
