Köy enstitülerinde eğitim-öğretim

Abstract

Bu makalede, Köy Enstitülerindeki eğitim-öğretim konusu incelenmiştir. Makalede önce, Cumhuriyet yönetiminin eğitime verdiği önem ve Enstitülerin açılmasından önce kırsal alandaki eğitim sorununun nicel boyutu anlatılmıştır. Daha sonra, öğretmenlerin köylerde çalışmak istememeleri ve köye adapte olamamalarının nedenleri irdelenmiş, Enstitülerdeki eğitimin bu noktaları göze alarak şekillendiği ortaya konulmuştur. Enstitülerde iş eğitiminin ilkesinin ne şekilde uygulandığı incelenmiş, bu eğitimin üretime yönelik olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yapılan üretici iş eğitimi sayesinde Enstitülerin kar elde eden kurumlar haline geldikleri, arşiv belgelerine dayanarak, ortaya konulmuştur.

Education-Instruction themes in the village instıtutes are analyzed in this article. First of all, importance that was given by the Republican administration to education and the quantitative dimension of the education problem in the rural area before the Institutes were opened were described. Then, the reasons of the instructors’ not willing to work in the villages and of their not adapting to the villages were examined and it is put forward that the education in the Institutes took shape by taking these points into consideration. How the principle of labour education was practiced at the Institutes was analyzed and it was concluded that this education was directed at production. Based on the archive documents it was put forward that thanks to the productive labour education undertaken, the Institutes became profit making associations.
