Bâbüssaâde ağası Bosnevî Hasan Ağa’nın vakıfları

Abstract

Vakıf, Osmanlı kültür ve medeniyet tarihinin önemli kurumlarının başında gelmektedir. Osmanlı Devleti’nde hayırseverler maddi imkânları nispetinde birçok vakıf kurmuşlardır. Saray mensupları ve devlet ricali, vâkıflar arasında önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Sultan I. İbrahim (1640-1648) zamanında ser-hazînedâr (hazînedârbaşı), Sultan IV. Mehmed (1648-1687) zamanında ise Bâbüssaâde ağalığı gibi çok önemli devlet vazifelerinde bulunan Bosnevî Hasan Ağa her iki görevi sırasında vakıf kurmuş önemli devlet adamlarındandır. Hasan Ağa’nın hayatı hakkında çok az bilgi vardır. Nerede doğduğu, saraya nasıl geldiği gibi konular hakkında maalesef bir bilgi yoktur. Bu çalışma, Bosnevî Hasan Ağa’nın vakıflarını konu edinmektedir. Hasan Ağa’ya ait 1056 (1646), 1057 (1647) ve 1060 (1650) tarihli üç adet vakfiye bulunmaktadır. Bunlardan ilk ikisi, İstanbul; üçüncüsü Bosna vakıfları hakkındadır. İstanbul’daki vakıf gelirlerinin bir kısmını ailesine, akrabalarına ve âzatlı kölelerine; bir kısmını da inşa ettirdiği mektebin giderlerine vakfetmiştir. Bosna’daki vakfının gelirlerini ise, sadece inşa ettirdiği cami ve mektebin giderlerine vakfetmiştir. Bu çalışmada Hasan Ağa’nın vakfına ait üç vakfiyeden ve Devlet Arşivleri Başkanlığı Osmanlı Arşivi belgelerinden hareketle Hasan Ağa’nın hayrâtı, vakıflarından yararlanacak kimseler, vakıflarının gelir kaynakları, giderleri ve işleyişi üzerinde durulmuş; vakıf görevlilerinin vazifeleri, ücretleri hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir.

The waqf is one of the most important institutions in the history of Ottoman culture and civilisation. In the Ottoman Empire, philanthropists established large and small waqfs according to their financial means. Members of the palace and state officials occupied an important place among the benefactors. Bosnevî Hasan Ağa (Bosnian/Bosnevī Ḥasan Agha b. Aḥmad), who held very important state positions such as ser-hazînedâr chief treasurer) during the reign of Sultan İbrahim (İbrāhīm) I (1640-1648) and Bābüʾs-saʿāde agha during the reign of Sultan Mehmed (Meḥmed) IV (1648-1687), is one of them. Hasan Agha b. Ahmed was one of the important statesmen who established foundations during both of his two positions. There is very little information about Hasan Agha’s life. Unfortunately, there is no information about where he was born and how he came to the palace. He donated a portion of the income from his foundation in Istanbul to his family, relatives and freed slaves, and a portion to the expenses of the school he had built. He donated the income from his foundation in Bosnia only to the expenses of the mosque and school he had built. This study focuses on the waqfs of Bosnevî Hasan Agha. There are three waqfiyyas of Bosnevî Hasan Agha, two dated 1056 (1646) and 1057 (1647) in Istanbul and one dated 1060 (1650) in Bosnia. Then an archive search was made about the foundation. Then, based on these three waqfs and archival documents, Then, based on these three waqfs and archival documents, Hasan Agha’s charity, the people who would benefit from his waqf, the sources of income of his waqfs, the expenditures of his waqfs, the functioning of his waqfs, the duties of the waqf officials, their wages and so on.
