Abstract
Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Kliniğinde Mart 1983 - 1 Ağustos 1983 tarihleri arasında tedavi edilen 29 neonatal sepsisli olgunun kan kültürleri ve antibiyogramları incelenmiştir aretilen 46 mikroorganizmadan % 69.5'i Tobramycin 'e duyarlı bulunmuştur. Bunun yanında % 56.5'i de Cefazolin duyarlılığı göstermişti. Bu nedenle bundan böyle neonatal sepsis olgularımızın tedavisinde Tobramycin ve Cefazolin kombinasyonunun kullanılmasının uygun olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
Blood cultures and antibiograms of 29 neonatal sepsis cases who were treated in the Department of Pediatrics of Uludağ University Medical Faculty between March, 1983 and August 1983 have been investigated. There were 46 blood cultures which were found to be positive. Sixty-nine and half percent of the microorganisms were sensitive to Tobramycin and 56.5 % of them were sensitive to Cefazolin. Therefore it was concluded that, from now on, Tobramycin and Cefazolin combination should be started for the initial antibiotic treatment of neonatal sepsis in this clinic.
