Abstract

18.asrın ortalarında, Suûdi Arabistan’ın Necd bölgesinde yeni bir dini akım ortaya çıktı. Hanbelî geleneğine mensup Muhammed b. Abdulvehhâb, insanları, bütün bidatlerden uzak, gerçek dine davet etmeye başladı. Bidat aleyharlığı, bu yeni cereyanın en önemli esaslarından birisiydi. Vehhâbilik, genel olarak, tasavvufu bidat olarak görür ve reddeder. Bu makale 18.asırda Vehhâbilik ve tasavvuf arasındaki ilişkileri ele almaktadır.

At some time towards the middle of the eighteenth century a new religious movement emerged in the very heart of the Najd, Saudi Arabia. A scholar from Hanbalite tradition, Muhammad b. Abdalwahhâb, invited people to the true religion, the religion which is far from all kind of innovations. Rejection of innovations is one of the basic teachings of this new movement. Wahhabism, in general, disapproves sufism and considers it as innovation. This article considers the process of relations between Wahhabism and Sufism in Eighteenth Century.
