Abstract
Günümüzde bütün toplumlar çokkültürlüdür. Bir başka deyişle, çokkültürlülük günümüzün en önemli olgusudur. Bu bağlamda kültürel farklılıklar ve çoğulculuk, felsefe ve sosyal bilimlerde temel problemler olarak ele alınmaktadır. Toplumun yapısı homojen değildir ve farklılıklardan oluşmaktadır. Küreselleşme sürecinde kültürlerin etkileşimi de önemlidir. Farklı kültürler böylece birbirini düzeltir ve tamamlar ve birbirinin ufkunu genişletir ve insani gelişimin yeni formları için birbirini etkilerler. Kültürel farklılık insan özgürlüğünün en önemli öğesi ve koşuludur. Kültürler diğer kültürler ile karmaşık diyaloglar yoluyla şekillenir. Fakat kültürel kimliklerin siyasallaşması da ciddi problemlere yol açmaktadır. Toplumsal bütünlük ve birlikte yaşama nasıl mümkündür? Hangi değerler birleştirici olabilir? Bu nedenle günümüz toplumlarında çoğulculuk önemli bir olgu ve problemdir. Çeşitli çoğulculuk tipleri vardır: kültürel çoğulculuk, siyasal çoğulculuk vb. Kültürel kimliklerin siyasallaşması da önemli bir problemdir. Bu makalede Türkiye’de çoğulculuğun durumu tartışılacaktır.
All societies has multicultural structures at the present time. In other words, multiculturalism is the most important phenomenon of the contemporary societies. In this sense, cultural diversity and pluralism are discussed in the context of philosophy and social sciences as a basic problem. The structure of society is not homogeneous, it is consisted of differences. Interactions between cultures are also important issue in globalization process. Thus, different cultures rectify and complete each other, and they expand their each horizon of thoughts. Different cultures influence each other for new forms of development of humanity. Cultural diversity is also the most significant condition and component for freedom of humanity. Cultures get their forms through complex dialogues set with other cultures. However, politicization of cultural identities, also leads to some serious problems. How it is possible to establish social cohesion and living together? Which values can be unifying? etc… Therefore, pluralism is a major problem and significant phenomenon in modern societies. There are various types of pluralism: Cultural pluralism, political pluralism, etc. Politicization of cultural identities is an important problem. In this article it is going to be discussed the condition of pluralism in Turkey.
