Lâmî’î Çelebi'nin "Bursa Şehrengîzi'nde mekân tasvirleri

Abstract

Şehrengîzler, XVI yüzyıl başlarında Divan edebiyatımıza girmiş manzum şe­hir methiyeleridir. İlk örnekleri Piriştineli Mesihî ve Balıkesirli Zâti tarafından veril­miştir. Muhteva yönünden şehrengîzlerin toplu bir değerlendirmesi yapıldığında, ge­nel anlamda, bir şehrin erkek güzellerini tasvir amacı ile yazılan din dışı konulu müs­takil eserler olduğu düşünülmüştür. Lâmi'î Çelebi'ye ait Şehrengîz-i Burusa adlı bu eser, Bursa'nın tabiî ve coğra­fi güzelliğinin tasviri gayesi ile yazılmıştır. Bu bakımdan konusu itibariyle yegânedir. Diğer şehrengîzlere göre ilk bakışta göze çarpan bu açık farkın sebebi, şâirin tasav­vufi karakteri ve eserin devrin padişahı Kanuni Sultan Süleyman'a takdim gayesi ile yazılmış olmasıdır.

All şehrengîzs in the Turkish Literatüre are commenditions of the cities. These were written in rhyme and metre, appearing, for the first time in Divan Literatüre at the beginning of the 16th century. The first samples of them were given by Mesîhî of Piriştine and by Zâtı of Balıkesir. Old Turkish literary men received these materials as separate works with profane subjects which were written in order to describe beautiful men of a city. The work of the Şehrengîz-i Burusa that had been written by Lâmi'î Çelebi, includes description of the geographical and natural beauty of Bursa. According to the reason, this work is unique among the others. The cause of the difference between this work and others is the mystic character of the poet; and thdt work was written for Kanunî Sultan Süleyman.
