dc.description.abstractBu çalışma Türkiye’de 1940-1954 yılları arasında eğitim faaliyetlerini sürdürmüş Köy Enstitüleri’nin bu okullardan mezun olmuş kişilerin belleklerinde bıraktığı izleri ve kültürel kimliklerine etkilerini ele alan nitel bir araştırmadır. Yarı yapılandırılmış formda derinlemesine görüşmeler ve belge inceleme yöntemiyle, mezunların yaşam öykülerinin yönünü belirlemiş Köy Enstitülü olma deneyimini nasıl hatırladıkları araştırılmıştır. Bellek üzerine toplumsal kuramlardan yola çıkan bu çalışmada, bulgular analiz edilirken çalışmanın alt problemleri olan mekânla kurulan ilişki ve alışkanlıklar belleği konularına odaklanılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda özellikle işe dayalı eğitim ile mekânı birlikte üretme tecrübesinin ve Köy Enstitüleri’nde edindikleri gündelik yaşam pratiklerinin anılarda öne çıktığı görülmüştür.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractThis study is a qualitative study investigating how the Village Institutes, the educational institutions operating in rural areas of Turkey between 1940 and 1954, remembered by their graduates. With semi-structured in-depth interviews and document analysis, how the graduates remember their education experience which gave a certain direction to their life stories. The theoretical background is based on the social theories on memory and this study mainly focuses on the interactions with space and habit memory. As a result of this study it is found out that, production of space during their education years through work based education and daily life practices that the graduates have developed during their school years are the most prominent memories.en_US
