This study explores how the female subject is reconstructed through writing in Christine de Pizan’s literary production by intersecting her work with Luce Irigaray’s écriture feminine. In this context, De Pizan, who is recognized as the first professional female author in Europe, is examined through her works Le Livre de la Cité des Dames (The Book of the City of Ladies) and Le Livre de la Mutation de Fortune (The Book of the Transformation of Fortune), focusing on how she reclaims and reconfigures the female subject through writing. The narratives of bodily transformation in de Pizan’s texts are analyzed alongside Irigaray’s concepts such as “the two lips”, the inside-outside, and feminine writing, revealing that these transformations function not merely as physical but as linguistic and metaphorical.
