Ameliyat sırasında oluşan hıçkırıkın giderilmesinde Ephedrine'nin rolü

Abstract

Bu çalışma genel anestezi sırasında hıçkırık gelişen yaşları 22-59 arasında değişen 28 olgu üzerinde yapılmıştır. 12 olguda çeşitli yöntemlerle hıçkırık giderilemeyince i. v. yoldan 5 mgr. efedrin uygulandı ve hıçkırık durdu. 16 olguda ise diğer metodlar uygulanmaksızın hıçkırık başlar başlamaz i.v. efedrin yapıldı. 14 olguda hıçkırığın geçtiği saptandı. İki olguda ise ikinci doz i.v. 5 mgr. efedrin yapıldı ve hıçkırık geçti. Sonuç olarak 5 mg. i.v. efedrinin ameliyat sırasında oluşan hıçkırığın giderilmesinde en etkin yöntem olduğu kanısına varılmıştır.

This study was carried out on 28 patients between the ages of 22 to 59. Insisting hiccups were observed in all these patients during surgery under general anaesthesia. In the first group of 12 patients, against the hiccups, various other methods were applied without any success. But as soon asa 5 mg. dose of ephedrine was injected intravenously, the hiccup stopped. In the second group of 16 patients, without trying any other method, only one 5 mg. dose of i.v. ephedrine was administered. The hiccups were suddenly stopped after injection in 14 cases but 2 of them needed a second 5 mg. dose of ephedrine for suppresion of hiccups. Asa result, we have the impression that, 5 mg. dose of i.v. ephedrine administration is the most effective way against the insisting hiccups appearing while surgery under general anaesthesia.
