L’état actuel du Français langue étrangère en Syrie et les départements de Français : Une étude de cas (Université d’Alep)

Abstract

Dans le cadre de cette recherche, nous avons pour objectif de décrire l’état actuel du Français langue étrangère (FLE) dans le système éducatif Syrien, et de donner un aperçu sur le statut des institutions francophones sur le territoire syrien. Par ailleurs, nous avons l’intention d’aborder l'impact de la crise politico-militaire dans le domaine de l'éducation, surtout dans les pratiques d’enseignement/apprentissage du FLE de l’école élémentaire à l’école supérieur. L’étude comprendra cinq parties principales, qui sont les suivantes : la première partie sera consacrée à une présentation conceptuelle et méthodologique de la recherche. Quant à la deuxième partie, elle identifiera le statut de la langue française en Syrie, ainsi que l'impact de la culture française sur la société syrienne après la fin de la période du mandat français. La troisième partie proposera un aperçu du système éducatif syrien, commençant du cycle élémentaire jusqu’au cycle supérieur. La quatrième partie, elle traitera le processus d’enseignement / apprentissage du FLE dans les établissements d’enseignement syriens à l’époque de la crise syrienne actuelle, tout en identifiant les circonstances des Départements du Français auprès des universités syriennes. Enfin avec la cinquième partie, on mènera un questionnaire pour une étude de cas du Département du Français à l'Université d'Alep afin d'identifier et évaluer les circonstances du contexte, pour finalement montrer les résultats et les suggestions visant à améliorer l’enseignement du FLE dans les établissements d’enseignement syriens, en dépit des obstacles liés à la crise qui y règne.

Bu çalışmada yabancı dil olarak Fransızcanın Suriye eğitim sistemindeki yeri ve yükseköğretim düzeyindeki Fransızca bölümlerinin hâlihazırdaki durumlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu genel amaç doğrultusunda, Suriye krizinin eğitim sektörü üzerindeki etkileri ve temel eğitimin başlangıcından yükseköğretimin bitimine kadar olan süreçte yabancı dil Hata! Köprü başvurusu geçerli değil.olarak Fransızca öğrenim /öğretim süreci çok yönlü olarak ele alınmıştır. Araştırma beş ana bölümden oluşmaktadır: Birinci bölümde, araştırmanın kavramsal çerçevesi ve metodolojisine ilişkin açıklamalara yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Suriye'de Fransız mandasının sona ermesinin ardından Fransız dili ve kültürünün Suriye toplumu üzerindeki etkileri ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, Suriye eğitim sistemi temel eğitimden başlayarak yükseköğretimin bitimine kadar tüm yönleriyle incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde, yabancı dil olarak Fransızca öğretim /öğrenim sürecinin Suriye eğitim kurumlarındaki mevcut durumunun yanı sıra üniversitelerdeki Fransızca bölümlerinin kriz sürecinde hangi koşullarda bulunduğu değerlendirilmiştir. Beşinci ve son bölümde ise araştırma bağlamında, durum çalışması desenine uygun olarak Halep Üniversitesi'ndeki Fransızca Bölümünün içinde bulunduğu mevcut şartlar belirlenmiştir. Son olarak, Suriye'deki mevcut duruma (krize) ve olası bütün zorluklara rağmen yabancı dil olarak Fransızca öğretiminin genel eğitim sistemi içerisindeki yerinin iyileştirilmesi ve geliştirilmesine yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

In this study, we aim to describe the current state of French as a foreign language (FLE) in the Syrian educational system, and to provide insight into the status of French-speaking institutions in Syrian territory. In addition, we intend to address the impact of the crisis on the education sector, especially for the status of the FLE teaching / learning process from basic education to the end of higher education in Syria. The study comprises the following five main parts: The first part is devoted to a conceptual and methodological presentation of the research. While the second part identifies the status of the French language as well as the impact of French culture on Syrian society after the end of the period of the French mandate in Syria, the third part takes a look at the Syrian educational system, beginning with the stage of basic education until the end of the stage of higher education. The fourth part deals with the teaching / learning process of the FLE in the Syrian educational institutions at the time of the current Syrian crisis, while identifying the circumstances of the French Departments with the Syrian universities. In the fifth and end part, a questionnaire will be conducted for a case study of the Department of French at the University of Aleppo to identify and evaluate the circumstances of the context. Finally, we will show the results and suggestions for improving the teaching of FLE in Syrian educational institutions, despite the obstacles related to the Syrian crisis.
