Abstract
In this study it was aimed at exposing the extraordinary literary personality ot the great Sultan whose great historical personality is considered as magnificient. Sultan Suleyman the Lawgiver who had written poems under the disguised name "Muhibbi" has vontributed to the Divan Poetry with hiı beautiful, excellent and wellknown literary lines of poems. As the writer of about 3000 poems he comes first among the poets, who howe written numerous poems, of the above named school of poetry. As the poems of the Sultan were studied carefully one will readily notice that he was sensitive, generous and so humble as to disregard the world's sovereignity in the presence of his sweetheart which seems quite contradictory to the Sultan's strong and conceited personality as the product of his lofty sovereignity, numerous battles and victories as well as his powerfull character.
